If I remember correctly, the last Air Jordan 9 retro to release was the Air Jordan 9 “Barons”, and that was way back in April of last year! So it’s been a cool minute since we’ve seen the Air Jordan 9 silhouette in the limelight . That’s about to change this year. With the introduction of the Air Jordan 9 “Militia Green” set to drop this August, there’s also another Jordan 9 that for some reason has fallen under the radar. The Air Jordan 9 “Anthracite” is set to come out September 7th for the retail price of $190.

Coming in an Anthracite nubuck upper with hits of white seen on the eyelets, Jumpman found on the midsole, branding on the tongue and back heel. The Air Jordan 9 “Anthracite” keeps it at a minimum when it comes to the colors it opts to go with but I’m sure that’s the direction that Jordan wants to go with this particular Jordan 9. Are you feeling this upcoming Jordan 9, or is it laying to low for you?

Author’s Take

I really don’t have much to say about this Jordan 9 in this particular colorway. One part of me says that it’s way too plain and boring, but another part of me says that I need to cool it with the vibrant colorways and go ahead and purchase a simple and plain colorway, such as this one. Not a big fan of the Jordan 9, but if the price is right, and I found them in the Nike outlets down the line, and I have a little extra change in my pocket, and I haven’t bought a pair of J’s in a minute, and I have a sudden urge to get a pair,

I’d probably consider it.
